These terms govern your use of The Studio by Han Khim (studio.hankhim.com), a free filmmaking course and creative community operated by Han Studios. By applying, logging in, or participating, you agree to these terms.
Free access license
Accepted applicants receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to access the course materials, modules, workbooks, and resources for the duration of their active access window. This license is for your own personal, educational use only.
You may not resell, redistribute, publicly republish, or use the course materials to build a competing product or course. The course is free to join, but the materials remain the property of Han Studios (see Intellectual property).
Acceptable use
While using the Studio, you agree not to:
- post or submit illegal, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit content;
- scrape, copy, or redistribute course materials, videos, or workbooks outside the platform;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- submit another creator's work as your own final film or reflection;
- attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, or security measures;
- use the application or course to harass, spam, or solicit other members commercially without permission.
Violating these terms may result in suspension or removal from the course and community, at Studio staff's discretion.
Account sharing
Each seat is for one person. Your login credentials and access code are personal to you — do not share them with anyone else, including friends, coworkers, or clients. Accounts found to be shared or used by multiple people may be suspended without a refund of time on the access window (the course is free; the seat itself is the thing being protected).
Course-window rules
Course access runs for 42 days from the date your account is activated. During this window, you have full access to all seven modules, workbooks, and downloadable resources.
After day 42, course lessons and downloadable resources close. Community access continues beyond the 42-day window, subject to the Community Guidelines and ongoing good conduct. There is no guarantee of extension; extensions, if offered, are handled by Studio staff on a case-by-case basis.
Intellectual property
Han Studios and Han Khim retain all rights to the course curriculum, videos, workbooks, frameworks, and written materials. You may not reproduce or repurpose them outside your personal use of the course.
You retain full ownership of your own footage, edits, and final film. We will not publicly publish, feature, or promote your name, film, or likeness without your separate, explicit opt-in consent — see the consent boundaries in our Privacy Policy.
Service changes
The Studio is an evolving product. We may update the curriculum, modules, platform, or community structure at any time. We may also introduce a paid continuation offer in the future; nothing in these terms obligates current or future members to pay for anything, and any change to pricing will be clearly communicated and never silently applied to your existing free access.
Disclaimers
The Studio is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific creative, career, or audience-growth outcomes from completing the course. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Han Studios' liability for any claim arising from your use of the Studio is limited to the amount you paid to access it — which, for the free launch program, is zero.
